Nice, the airport nearest to the villa, has many direct flights from all over Europe. British Airways, British Midland and Easyjet are the main companies flying there from London. There are over 20 flights a day from Britian to Nice in the low season and many more in high season. The airport offers all the main car rental companies and is less than an hour's drive from the villa. Other possible airports include Marseilles (2 hours away), Toulon (1 1/2 hours) and Genoa (2 1/2 hours).
BA Heathrow and Gatwick (to Nice and Marseilles)
Easyjet Luton, Gatwick, Stansted, Bristol, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Belfast and Newcastle (to Nice) and Bristol and Gatwick (to Marsellies)
Ryanair Stansted (to Toulon and Marseilles, and also Genoa), Dublin (to Nice and Marseilles), Shannon (to Nice) and Edinburgh (to Marseilles).
Monarch Gatwick and Birmingham (to Nice)
Flybe Southampton (direct to Nice, and with UK connection onward from Southampton)
Jet 2 Leeds/Bradford and Manchester (to Nice)
There are plenty of car rental options at the airport but some of the off-site companies can offer a better deal at peak times. Try Truche (they come to get you at arrivals) and Locauto (Smarts and scooters too).
The Calais to Nice no longer runs. Motorail does still leaves from other northern European cities, including Paris (to Nice and St Raphael).
Fayence is about 750 miles from Calais - a 10 hour drive - making it a long day from England. Most people have an overnight stop. Places like Beaune in Burgundy are well placed for an enjoyable mid-way break. Junction 39 on the A8 autoroute is the nearest to Fayence.
Take a ferry, such as P&O, or the Eurotunnel Shuttle across the channel.
The TGV stops at Les Arcs, Frejus/St Raphael and Cannes among others. The journey is around 5 hours from Paris. Then rent a car.
